Weld County

Status:

To begin construction in unincorporated Weld County, the County requires a Use by Special Review (USR) Permit. Thornton is working to secure this permit so we can begin construction and complete this project by 2025. Weld County has scheduled hearings on Thornton’s permit application. A Planning Commission hearing was held on July 21, 2020. A Board of County Commissioners hearing is scheduled on May 5, 2021.

Thornton has begun construction in the towns of Windsor and Johnstown. Installation of the pipeline in these towns will continue through April 2021.
