Segments B, C, and E of the Thornton Water Project (TWP) are located within the boundaries of Weld County.
Segment B includes 16 miles of pipeline and will take approximately 2.5 years to complete. The segment is in construction starting north of WCR 2 and WCR 17.
The TWP team completed the design for Segment C, which includes 14.8 miles of pipeline. Bidding will occur in May 2024 and construction is anticipated to begin in mid-summer 2024.
Segment E design is approximately 95% complete with all easements acquired. The southern limit is near Highway 392 and the northern limit is dependent on the location where the pipeline will connect with the Larimer County segment that is currently under review.
