Segments B, C, and E of the Thornton Water Project (TWP) are located within the boundaries of Weld County.
Segment B: Construction of the 16-mile pipeline segment is complete, pressure testing is complete, remaining items are being addressed. Reclamation is ongoing in areas between Weld County Road 2 and Hwy 66.
Segment C includes 14.9 miles of pipeline and is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027. Multiple crews are active along the project alignment and boring crews have completed eleven of the twelve trenchless crossings. 14 miles of pipe have been installed to date.
Segment E includes 10.5 miles of pipeline and is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2027. Pipeline construction is currently active along the alignment with multiple crews active on the mainline and trenchless crossings. Approximately 4.5 miles of pipe (between WCR 68 ½ and WCR 78) have been installed to date.
