August 2018 – Larimer County has hired an independent facilitator and formed a working group to help facilitate public input into the 1041 permit process for the Thornton Water Project. For more information on the Larimer County process, please visit www.larimerwaterprojects.org.

The Larimer County Board of Commissioners hearing was held on August 1 and has been continued to December 17. The Larimer County 1041 permit application can be viewed here.

July 2018 – The Larimer County Board of Commissioners hearings were held on July 9 and July 23.

May 2018 – The Larimer County Planning Commission hearing was held on May 16.

February 2018 – Facts provided in response to questions about Douglas Road and the Source Water Pump Station.  The Thornton Water Project team has confirmed that there is sufficient space to construct a 48-inch water pipeline within the existing Douglas Road right-of-way, and it is possible that the pipeline could be constructed within the existing pavement section of Douglas Road.

September 2017 – The Thornton Water Project team provided an update to Larimer County residents.  The presentation can be viewed here.

November/December 2016 – The city of Thornton hosted open houses in Longmont, Fort Collins, and Johnstown to share information about the Thornton Water Project.
